This publication accompanied an exhibition of the same title. It contains three academically researched and written chapters. The first is by Dr Alison Holland of the Department of Modern History. The second is by Kiralynne Hill, Curator at the Macquarie University Art Gallery. The third is authored by Rhonda Davis, Senior Curator at the Macquarie University Art Gallery. The chapters investigate the 1967 Referendum and its ongoing impact, together with the perceptions and interpretations of Indigenous artists - via their work - of what constitutes Aboriginal history. The publication's editor is Leonard Janiszewski of the Department of Modern History. A Foreword has been provided by Professor Christie Slade, Dean of Humanities.
