Description: In the molecule of the title compound, C₁₇H₁₆N₄O₄, the 2,8-dimethyl-1,9-dinitro analogue of Tröger’s base, the diazocine bridge imparts a twist such that the two aryl rings are offset with respect to one another. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 94.75 (4)°.
