Description: In the molecule of the title compound, C₁₇H₁₆Br₂N₂, the 4,10-bromo-2,8-dimethyl analogue of Tröger’s base, the two aryl rings are offset with respect to one another by virtue of the diazocine bridge. There are two crystallographically independent molecules in the unit cell and both of these have a dihedral angle of 95.4 (1)° between the two aryl rings.
