Description: Since the growth of the 'born global' concept much of the established literature has tended to overlook the importance of industry factors on 'born global' firms internationalisation processes.. This extends to the development of internationalisation models that help to explain and determine the behaviour of early internationalising firms. To further enhance our understanding of the 'born global' phenomenon this paper draws on the born global literature to identify possible industry influences and common internationalisation behaviours that rapidly internationalising films are involved with. Five propositions are developed related to the key dimensions of pace, pattern and scale of firm internationalisation, A conceptual framework, which can form the basis for future research, is also presented.
