Description: This paper examines the experience of one university library, (Macquarie University Library), which has taken an aggressive approach to the provision of electronic access to full text journals. In doing so, the paper presents a case study of a partnership with Elsevier ScienceDirect in which the Library decided to subscribe to the electronic full text service for subscribed titles as a total substitute for the print subscriptions.
