This paper offers new insight concerning the integration of organisational learning and team effectiveness. We argue that team learning acts as a bridge between learning at the individual and organizational level, and is the principal means for achieving team effectiveness. We identify and discuss four learning domains: enlightened, embedded, embodied, and enabled. The discussion examines the learning relationships between each domain, and a new conceptual framework is developed as a way to integrate many of the key ideas related to the practical implementation of team processes. The framework links and identifies the key factors, constructs, and components of team effectiveness illustrating how these are related to learning.
